What the site is for
Most calculator sites stop at a number. This site is meant to give a short report: the estimate, a scenario comparison, what the result may mean, what to check next, and the assumptions used.
The calculators are designed for Canadian households and are free to use. The planned business model is display advertising, search traffic, and optional downloadable spreadsheets later. Calculator results should not be blocked by payment, email capture, accounts, or sales calls.
Independent ownership
Real Life Money Tools Canada is independently owned and maintained. The site editor maintains the calculator code, checks public assumptions against the linked government and regulator sources, and updates the site when a material input or explanation changes.
The site does not claim that its owner is acting as a financial adviser, lawyer, tax professional, employment specialist, or government representative. Read the calculation and editorial methodology for the source hierarchy, review process, and correction policy.
What the site is not
- It is not a replacement for government calculators, legal advice, tax advice, mortgage advice, or employment advice.
- It does not decide eligibility for public benefits, rent-control coverage, mortgage approval, or utility rebates.
- It does not send calculator inputs to a server in this static MVP.
